WHITEFOOTED ANTS
Why are they called White-footed Ants? Ants don't have feet, however they do have legs and at the end of the legs are a hooked like claw. The name white-footed ant was derived because of the way their legs turn into a whitish color at the ends, giving the appearance of white feet.
White-footed ants are not a danger to anyone. They do not carry any diseases. They don't bite or sting but they can be a real nuisance in very large numbers. White-footed ants have a couple of characteristics different from all other species of ants that make them very unique and very difficult to get rid of. Using any kind of bait by itself will only make things worse especially if you're baiting inside. Putting out bait by itself is like an invitation. One of the characteristics of the white-footed that is different from other species is that the colonies have many queens. This gives the whitefooted ant the capability to reproduce in very large numbers.
For most other species an average ant colony will have around 10,000. It is not uncommon for a colony of whitefooted ants to range in the millions. Also unlike other species that will set up separate colonies, whitefooted ant colonies are networked together. Whitefooted ants could be nesting in 20 or 30 different locations on a piece of property and they are all connected to each other. Trying to eliminate them by treating where you see them will not work. They will only surface in another location.

One of the methods that must be incorporated into a whitefooted ant treatment is to address the problem on a large scale rather than trying to eliminate where you see them. There is one sure way of getting rid of whitefooted ants and that is by using the proper chemicals and the proper application methods. Treatments that work well at getting rid of other ant species will not work for the whitefooted ant and in some cases will even make things worse. We are a company of trained professionals. Knowing the different characteristics of the insect along with the different types of chemicals and treatment methods to use. This is what gives us the advantage and insures our 100% success rate.
